Systems Analyst II - Patient Business Services

Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula is seeking qualified candidates for a System's Analyst position in our Patient Business Service (PBS) department. The PBS Systems Analyst II reports to the Assistant Director of Patient Business Services. This is a senior level position responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs related to the Patient Business Services and ultimately the hospital revenue cycle. This person formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies and writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs (specifications). The Systems Analyst is familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts and will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The person will perform a variety of complicated tasks and may lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Equal Opportunity Employer

Requirements:
Qualified candidates must have a B.S. Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Sciences or Business Management or equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted. Five years experience in the I.T. environment, minimum of three years in the healthcare or related field and three years experience in project management of complex projects is required. Experience with feasibility studies, implementation, knowledge of implementation methodologies required and analytical skills are a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff is essential. Qualified candidates must be able to multi-task, working on a variety of projects at one time; each project interrupted by another or some other project of higher priority. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft office products. Visio and project management software desirable.
